Department's ISO 9001 Certificate

The Assessment and Taxation Department has pursued a strategy of improving our product and reducing risk. This strategy has involved improving the accuracy of valuations, integrity of the data, valuation methodologies and tools, client knowledge and access, building a quality culture among staff and enhancing customer service performance.

In support of our stated Vision and our pursuit of excellence in all our business processes, the Department has developed a “Pursuit of Excellence Quality Management System (PEQMS).” This system not only identifies/documents all of our business processes across all organizational units, but also maintains the Department’s quality policy, quality objectives, quality standards, quality performance targets, quality measurements and a reporting system.

The Department’s Quality Management System has been measured against the ISO 9001 International Standard. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards. The ISO quality standard specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization: (i) needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide a product or service that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements, and; (ii) aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customers’ and applicable regulatory requirements.

Having successfully achieved ISO 9001 Certification, the Department has positioned itself among the industry leaders in the field of valuation and assessment.

We are committed to performing ongoing internal audits and objective third party verification of our quality management system. With this commitment to quality and continuous improvement comes a greater focus on our customers and the confidence and satisfaction they will experience in the delivery of our products and services.
